A copy that works like your site
A plain HTML export saves each page with the files it links to. Anything a page loads only after it opens, like images that appear as you scroll, a menu that fills in, content a script fetches or a link that redirects, often goes missing. And you hear about it from a visitor.
A MakeStatic copy works like your site, it doesn't just look like it. You test it yourself, side by side with your site, before deciding anything. And if a page of the copy ever behaves differently from yours, write to [email protected] and we'll fix it.

An older Joomla that still does its job
Joomla 3 hasn't had a security update since August 2023. Moving a site to a newer version often means replacing extensions and templates that never made the jump.
If the site still says what it should, the risk isn't the content. It's the software answering your visitors. A copy takes that software out of their way.
No extension needed
The existing ways to make Joomla static are extensions that run inside Joomla and export its pages, so they need the Joomla version they were built for. We copy the pages from their address, so your version doesn't matter.
Contact forms and search
Contact forms reach us when a visitor sends them. We email them to you and list them on your site's page. The search box answers from the text of the copy's pages. A login for visitors can't be a file; after the first copy of your whole site, we list it for you along with anything else that needs a server.

- Does it work with Joomla 3?
- Yes. We copy the pages it publishes, whatever version publishes them. The trial copy of one page shows you in about twenty seconds.
- Can I switch Joomla off afterwards?
- The copy runs without Joomla, so once your domain points at it, your visitors no longer depend on Joomla. You'll need Joomla again the next time you want to change a page.
